Unfortunately, we had some last minute changes from our coaches. If you would like to meet at the WCS tent at Beaver Run at 1PM and go on a ride together, you’re welcome to do that. There is no official group ride today.  Feel free to peruse the Breck Epic courses on Trailforks and ride some of one!

Stretch & Recovery Yoga

Leslie Glenn

Join local yoga teacher Leslie Glenn for a 30 minute yoga session designed for post-ride stretch and recovery. This session will utilize gentle movement, stretching and myofascial release techniques to increase mobility, flexibility, breath awareness and support mental focus. Mats provided on a first-come-first-served basis.

Leslie’s journey to yoga began as a professional snowboarder. Yoga not only improved her athletic prowess but brought balance and presence to all parts of her life. Her classes are curated to inspire students to connect with their highest potential both on and off the mat.

Carina Hamel - Courage and Work Ethic

Sit in with former pro Nordic skier and founder of BIVO, Carina Hamel. Learn about her inspirational journey as an athlete, entrepreneur, mom and sustainability pioneer.

“Bike-in Movie: Blood Road, Sonya Looney’s “Benched” Short Feature, VNTR Birds “Practicing Freedom” Short Film

with Sonya Looney

Special presentation of Blood Road, Gold Star Daughter Rebecca Rusch’s award-winning documentary chronicling her 1200-mile cycling journey along the Ho Chi Minh Trail through Vietnam and Laos in search of her father’s crash site and remains.

Rebecca Rusch will be joining us remotely to introduce the film at 7:45!

The main feature will follow Sonya Looney’s award-winning short film “Benched,” which explores the challenges of maintaining career, fitness and balance as a mother and professional athlete.

“Practicing Freedom” will be another short film about showing up and coming together through bikes.

Join Erin Huck, an Olympian and 6x National Champion, and Sonya Looney, a World Champion and 4x National Champion, as they engage in a compelling discussion about expectations, mental flexibility, and flourishing through life changes as they embrace motherhood. Uriell Carlson - Female Specific Nutrition

Uriell (better known as Uri) is a registered dietitian nutritionist and founder of Inner Wild Nutrition, Based in Breckenridge, CO, Uri works with clients all over the world. Her self-proclaimed mission is to ensure that every client of hers never “diets” again. Instead, she focuses on individual lifestyle factors and incorporates nutrition strategies that optimize performance, body composition, energy, and overall health. This puts and end to dieting once and for all.

 From building successful women’s racing teams to mentoring women in business from intern all the way to C-suite, to founding the Babs Outside, Rachel knows how to bring women together.  Rachel is passionate about inspiring women to have rad outdoor adventures. She’ll discuss how she builds community, how to close the gender gap, and even some stories from hiking every 14er in Colorado.

Jenny Smith- Evolution and Purpose: From Pro Racing to Coaching and Community

Join Jenny Smith to talk about paving your path with cycling and coaching. Jenny is a 23-year pro mountain biker and endurance athlete. She started Jenny Smith Coaching in 2009, a personalized coaching business for endurance athletes.
During her career, she has represented NZ in three sports at World Championships and now races Pro at 50. She’s navigated cycling as a team rider, team owner ( Women’s elite MTB team), a mother, and a wife to fellow pro athlete Brian Smith. She has found her passion and sense of community working with youth as a head CO MTB league high school coach and U19 Crested Butte Devo program manager.
There is room and scope for us to excel in cycling, and our strengths lift each other and our sport up.
Jenny will chat about the freedom that comes with living in your power, your way, and pursuing what is important to you.
